RAINBOW GIRLS & DGIIN
RAINBOW GIRLS
"They play every show balls-out.  Their sound refuses categorization." Jana Macklin, Santa Barbara Sentinel
Rainbow Girls is a group of female musicians who have molded a truly original sound that is influenced by roots in folk, Americana, gypsy, funk, soul, punk-bluegrass and rock.  In addition to their soaring harmonies, these multi-instrumentalists switch back and forth among acoustic and electric guitar, accordion, harmonica, banjolele, mandolin, bass, cello, keys, ukelele, kazoo, djembe, drum kit and many other instruments.
Born in an underground open mic night a few years ago, they started out performing in the Santa Barbara/SoCal area before a European tour of clubs & street performances.  Since their return, they have evolved into an electric stomp-folk band complete with drums, bass, and a slew of original music.  In May 2013 they released their debut album, "The Sound of Light," making fans of audiences throughout the UK and the rest of Europe, as well as the US.  Since the end of their 2014 tour dates, they have been holed up in their new home north of San Francisco recording their newest album, which they will preview at tonight's concert.

Dgiin (pronounced GIN) is known as a band with a unique style encompassing various cultures and influences and songs sung mainly in French.
Front man, Gabe Pirard, strums and picks the guitar in a seriously French-Roma-Flamenco style with a twist. Singing in French, Gabe is joined on stage by members of Dgiin: Jomial Jones, Magali Sancartier, Jimmy Inciardi, Chris LeDief, Nick Hasty and Zach Morris on bass, violin, saxaphone, guitar, flute and drums.
The Flamenco-Django-esque band, also winner of the North Bay Music Awards on numerous
