Synopsis: An emotionally impressive, aesthetically satisfying meditation, the nightmare of Nazi rule in Slovakia. In Silence is stylized docudrama drawing on the lives of real Jewish musicians in Czechoslovakia and Germany who were persecuted during the Holocaust. In Silence depicts the contrast between happy, joyful life and the suffering and humiliation in the concentration camps where music was the only instrument that helped people to survive or alleviate the fear of impending death.
