Shrek: The Musical presented by CenterStage Theatre Company

Everyone's favorite upside-down fairytale comes to Louisville when CenterStage Theatre Company presents Shrek the Musical, a song-and dance-filled stage adaptation of the Oscar-winning DreamWorks animated film.

Fifty CenterStage actors bring to life the characters we love from this tale of the Ogre with a big heart: Shrek, Donkey, Fiona, Lord Farquaad, Dragon, Gingy and a host of Fairytale Characters.

Shrek the Musical (which premiered on Broadway in 2008) stays true to the children's book by William Steig where dragons are friendly, swamps are better than castles, and the true hero isn't handsome or noble but a grouchy-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside ogre who is more or less content with himself and his life in a swamp.
