Roots Cellar Music Series: Sherry Minnick
The Roots Cellar: A new UBC concert series focusing on roots music at an affordable price: The concerts will be held in our newly-renovated basement-level concert hall. The focus of the series is to highlight roots-focused musicians in an intimate informal atmosphere. We chose roots music because of the historic and iconic connection with Dinkytown's heritage of a folk-music mecca. We are showcasing an eclectic mix of traditional and roots musicians ranging from blues to bluegrass, folk and Americana.
The debut concert on Saturday, March 14 at 7 pm will feature local musician Sherry Minnick. Come to Dinkytown for dinner, enjoy a concert at the Roots Cellar in University Baptist Church and stay for the other night life!
