OPEN BOX! The 1year Anniversary & Fundraising Gala for Little Boxes Theater

We made it! Hard work, dedication, patience and love!

This celebratory event will feature a few of our favorite supporters & local talent.

Choreographer Erik Wagner will be showing yet another ground breaking moving poem. Always a pleasure to experience his physical process come to life!!!

13th Floor Dance Theater...Utilizing a unique company of theatrically talented performers and a wicked sense of humor, Jenny McAllister has been creating darkly funny dance theater in San Francisco for over 15 years.

Sugar Cane Jane aka Erin J Jacobs, sharing all her shimmies and shakes; a burlesque style that is oh so sweet! The velvet painting come to life!

Kat Snow will be demonstrating and inviting everyone to participate in "Soul Motion!" A Conscious Dance Practice. A movement program open to everyone, regardless of physical ability, fitness or prior dance experience. This year Little Boxes is looking to expand into the realm of Fiscal Sponsorship, in order to grow, our 'Open Box' dream. Thru grant writing, fiscal sponsorship & the worthwhile patronage of all you out there, we hope to offer creative development periods to devoted artists. Ideally for in depth examinations of craft and culminate in a small showings.

It's been a nose-near -the-grindstone, kind of year, but our hard work has thankfully been paying off.
We have consistently been able to offer affordable rates and make it possible for nearly every type of person to feel at home here at Little Boxes. To date, dozens of performances, have filled our House. Contemporary dance, live music, performance art, improv theater, sketch comedy, puppet salons, aerial artists, classical Kinbaku & Shibari demonstrations, and of course our own monthly
'Open Box' Free Art & Performance Mixer. We have hosted hundreds of Photographers for fine art shoots, with as much imagery that is off the beaten path as we can fill a lens with.

At the end of it all we are only a small studio theater (just the two of us).
We are grateful to all the supporters from the still alive, still vibrant communities of artists, dancers, musicians, photographers, film-makers, theater companies, kinksters, queers and left leaners that still populate the beautiful Bay Area!
