(More) Intimate Mozart
The internationally-acclaimed chamber ensemble REBEL will offer a diverse program of familiar and lesser-known chamber works by Mozart on period instruments for strings, clarinet and fortepiano. Included on the program will be two rarely performed string trios, the celebrated 'Kegelstatt' trio for viola, clarinet and piano, a sonata for violin and piano and the beautiful piano quartet in B-flat major. Part of the Musica Antiqua Nova Series, now in its fifteenth year, the concert will take place at the historic and acoustically-excellent Bedford Presbyterian Church in Bedford, NY. The instrumentalists in this program are Ed Matthew, clarinet, Jörg-Michael Schwarz, violin, Karen Marie Marmer, viola; John Moran, cello and Dongsok Shin, fortepiano. Following the concert will be a catered, meet-the-artists reception to which all are invited.
