Open Kitchen's He Said/She Said Dinner

Two houses come together under one roof as Open Kitchen's Culinary Director, Chef Katie Reineberg, and Room 11's Executive Chef, Tim Rowley, battle it out! Katie and Tim originally met over years ago where Chef Tim was working as the Sous Chef at Tallula and EatBar in Arlington, VA. Chef Tim now shares his talent at Room 11, a restaurant in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of NW DC, known for its local, seasonal food, craft cocktails and in-house bakery and café.

As their culinary talents developed, so did their relationship. No matter which house is crowned the winner of this battle, Chef Katie and Chef Tim still have to go home together at the end of the night. So, it's guaranteed to get a little hot in the kitchen!

In true Iron Chef-style, each chef will "face off" in preparing two small plates per course showcasing their unique cooking styles and highlighting the featured ingredient paired with a protein. During the reception, each guest will receive a glass of bubbly. Then, during dinner, Chef Katie will pair each dish a tasting of 1 wine, while Chef Tim's dishes will be paired with a tasting of 1 signature drink in true Room 11 style. At the conclusion of the dinner, you'll complete a scorecard to declare the winner for each course.
