Celebrating the release of a new single Jaggery hits the Lizard Lounge tonight with two extraordinary bands, New York's Adrienne Anemore and Bostons own Box Five.

On Wednesday, May 19th, at the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, MA, Boston-based siren rock/torture chamber pop ensemble Jaggery will be releasing a 2-song "double" CD w/ a sneak-peak preview track from their forthcoming album, tentatively titled Upon a Penumbra, (for release in August) as well as a track from an EP in-the-works (to be released in the fall/winter 2010).

The 2-song disc will be free with purchase of any other Jaggery merchandise, and in conjunction the band will unveil the fruits of their current collaboration with clothes designer The Glorious Matorious of Matorious Designs (http://matoriousdesigns.com/).

The night will open with Adrienne Anemone (NYC) (http://www.myspace.com/adrienneanemone) formerly of The Tuna Helpers (Austin/Mimicry Records), who effortlessly blends folk/opera/story-telling and performance art with her lush, sparkling melodies and her Kate Bush-meets-Cruella DeVille vocal style.

Also on the bill are Boston/Philly-based Box Five (http://www.boxfive.org/. Fronted by the pitch-perfect polymodal synesthete Mary Bichner, Box Five create classically-infused timeless pop gems. This show the band will feature a string quartet.
