The Chimps
Close harmony can be tricky; slight tuning issues are instantly magnified, and the smallest rhythmic missteps can have a huge effect on a performance. It's not monkey business. The Chimps are a vocal trio consisting of veteran St. Louis musicians Dave Werner, John Krane, and Jesse Irwin. With a combined...many, many years of performance under their belts, they tackle old standards, pop tunes, country classics, and original music, using three-part harmony and simple instrumentation to get to the heart of every song. They channel the spirit of close harmony acts like the Everly Brothers, Louvin Brothers, and other groups with "Brothers" in the name, but with a healthy dose of humor. Vocalist/songwriter Emily Wallace will also appear as their special guest.
