A Night of Funny Firsts: Evolution of a Kiss
Nice girls don't kiss and tell. So Cynthia tells all! Fresh from sold out houses in the Women on the Way Festival, Cynthia returns in Evolution of a Kiss, a hilarious and sensual one-woman show about hers, her mother's and her grandmother's first kisses.

Cynthia makes her directorial debut with two one-act comedies by Wayne Rawley; performed by Nick Dickson, Matt Gunnison, Tavis Kammet, Maria Leigh, Jason Pienkowski and Holly Silk.

Happiness is Like a Beautiful, Bright, Shiny Red Apple and Controlling Interest are both funny plays on the possibility of liking girls for the first time and painfully awkward first dates.

Footloose Artistic Director, Mary Alice Fry, was so impressed by Cynthia in this year's Women on the Way Festival that she invited her back for these encore performances.  Told in painstaking honesty and hilarity, these tales of passion and desire traverse three generations and two countries--Mexico and the United States. Cynthia's solo show is based on first hand accounts of three young women's first kisses. A frequent reader for Get Mortified (where people read from their own ridiculous teen aged journals to sold out audiences), Cynthia was inspired to expose her own story, her mother's and her grandmother's.

Cynthia Brinkman is a local actress who has appeared in Impact Theatre's Money and Run and Intersection for the Art's Lorca Festival. She is a core member of Queer Girl Theatre Project and debuted Kiss with their solo performance series in August, 2009 at The Garage and returned there for the 2009 San Francisco Fringe Festival.  She was featured in the 10th Annual Women on the Way Festival presented by Footloose in January, 2010.

Wayne S. Rawley, called "Seattle's Late-Night Wunderkind" by the Seattle Weekly, is the creator and writer of Money & Run: An Action Adventure Serial for the Stage. To date, over 20 individual productions have appeared in Seattle, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area. Of his many short plays, his favorite, Controlling Interest, has been produced all over the world, including The Actors Theatre of Louisville as a finalist for the National Ten-Minute Play Contest. Mr. Rawley is also the creator and head writer of a brand new live-action web series called What The Funny? Season One is currently in production by Caution-Zero Network.  While normally based out of Santa Monica, Wayne is currently living in Oklahoma for the first time where he is playwright in residence at Oklahoma University's School of Drama.
