DreamCatcher
DreamCatcher, a celebration of dreams and imagination through song and dance, will be presented on May 7-9, 2010 at the Templeton Performing Arts Center.  Dancers, singers, drummers, and acrobats will bring fantastical dreams to life with brilliant costumes, intriguing sets, and imaginative lighting.  Under the direction of Jesus Solorio and June Greenawalt, DreamCatcher will surely delight audiences of all ages.

The story centers around a mysterious Dream Keeper who leads the audience on an adventure through colorful and mesmerizing dreams.  This dream journey moves through an enchanting forest, fantasies, nightmares, time, and even to the other side of the world.

This production is the creative brainchild of Jesus Solorio, who conceptualized the show and also designed much of its sets, costumes, and choreography.  Solorio appeared on Fox T.V's So you Think You Can Dance season three, and was most recently featured in Oxygen's Dance Your Ass Off and Fox's hit series Glee.

Dates for the performances are:
Thursday, May 6 at 7 pm- Dress rehearsal/food bank fundraiser
Friday, May 7 at 7:30 pm
Saturday, May 8 at 2 pm
Saturday, May 8 at 7:30 pm
Sunday, May 9 at 2 pm

The show brings together the talents of guest artists, dancers that train at Class Act Dance Studio in Paso Robles, artists from the local community, and professional choreographers.  DreamCatcher is being produced by the North County Dance and Performing Arts Foundation.

DreamCatcher was first produced in 2007, and returns this year with additional acts, costumes, and scenery.  Popular characters such as the jesters and the fire-twirler will be featured again.  The role of the Dream Keeper will be performed by Bob Woodard.

The dress rehearsal on Thursday, May 6 will be open to students.  It serves as a fundraiser for a local food bank, since students are admitted into the performance with a canned food item.  This is a very popular event with school groups, scout troops, and other youth organizations, so reservations are necessary and one paid adult chaperone is required for every six children.  For reservations, call Class Act Dance studio in Paso Robles.

Tickets to the other shows are $20 for adults, and $15 for children under twelve and seniors over sixty.  For tickets, call 1-800-838-3006 or visit www.brownpapertickets.com.  Tickets will go on sale March 17th.  For more information, call Class Act Dance Studio at (805) 239-3668.
