North & South--a musical show fundraiser
North and South is a musical tale of two dreamers, a girl from the north and a boy from the south, who travel to Nashville, Tennessee in pursuit of careers as singer-songwriters, not realizing that their greatest success would be finding each other. This two-person musical is the true story of award-winning songwriters Monty Powell and Anna Wilson and is driven by their personal stories that are the inspiration behind the creation of their original songs that have been recorded by superstars and played all over the world.
Collectively, they have written a dozen #1 songs for Keith Urban, Lady A, Tim McGraw and more, had countless album cuts featured on over than 70 million RIAA certified records sold worldwide, been nominated for a Golden Globe Award, co-produced unique projects that pay tribute to the Eagles, Billy Joel and the Countrypolitan era of music, and penned the international theme song for Habitat for Humanity International.
This husband-and-wife team is a personal and professional match that could only be made in Music City, USA.
First Presbyterian Church of Salt Lake City extends it whole-hearted appreciation to Scott Anderson, who is generously underwriting this musical performance. All proceeds will support the 150th Anniversary Restoration Campaign that is raising funds to restore and protect the building's red sandstone exterior, upgrade mechanical systems, offer a welcome space to each person who walks through the doors, and secure FPCs long-term ability to serve the community.
