Urban Farm To Table Luncheon 2022
Please join us on Sunday May 22 to eat, celebrate, and advocate for a great cause at the Alameda Point Collaborative Farm and give extra meaning to words home, hope and resiliency.
After a 2-year COVID break, we are thrilled to be returning to our in-person annual fundraising lunch. This farm to table experience will happen among the rows of APCs two-acre urban farm and will include a delectable meal prepared by Pacific Fine Food with produce sourced directly from the farm.
Alameda Point Collaborative hosts this unique fundraiser to raise critical funds for formerly homeless families and individuals living at our supportive housing community on the decommissioned Naval Base at Alameda Point. With each dollar raised, APC is closer to ending homelessness and helping find a path out of poverty. We know it can be done because we do it every day.
Invite your partner or some friends for a sumptuous meal on the farm and open your hearts to the beautiful community that is APC. Give the gift of strength, home and kindness at Alameda Point Collaborative's Urban Farm to Table Luncheon on May 22.
The Food: Catered by Pacific Fine Food and supplemented with treats donated by local food purveyors, the family-style meal will be a feast for your senses. We are so pleased to be partnering with our neighbors at Pacific Fine Food, who believe organic and farm fresh food makes a difference on your table, in the community, and the world. APC is grateful to Jeff and Erin for partnering with us and believing in our mission.
The Drink: Our neighbors Dashe Cellars, Almanac Beer Company, and Brix Beverages have generously donated the libations for the event and a special "celebrity bartender" will be mixing a signature cocktail especially for our lunch. Whether you enjoy wine, beer, soft drinks or a cocktail, our generous neighbors have something that everyone can enjoy.
The Company: We have a resident speaker who will share their personal story of struggle, resilience and growth and you will have an opportunity to meet like-minded friends who want to help make the world a better place. Our keynote speaker will challenge you with a forward thinking and thought-provoking message that will leave you encouraged and uplifted.
The Agency: Alameda Point Collaborative (APC) is a community of hope. Opened in 1999 on the decommissioned Alameda Naval Air Station, APC uses former military housing, buildings, and land to provide housing and life-changing supportive services to formerly homeless families and individuals. APC offers counseling, resources, skills workshops, and on-the-job training to our residents at three social enterprises: a commercial kitchen, Ploughshares Nursery and the APC farm, where the event is held. We also have a youth education center and teen center to build up the youngest residents at APC to be prepared for life.
So mark you calendars! We look forward to seeing you on Sunday May 22 from 1:00-3:00 on our farm at 2600 Barbers Point Road in Alameda.
