Join us on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 6:30- 9:00 PM for the Open Arts Studio Fall Fundraiser COVID-SAFE Openhouse.
Performances throughout the evening in a safely ventilated space and have a drink at our neighbor Brooklyn Space in the lovely, airy, and spaciously beautiful mid-century furniture store.
Performances include:
Theater Artist Soomi Kim presents excerpts of her new work, Body Through Which the Dream Flows featuring Kim and a small group of young competitive gymnasts.
Laura Peterson Choreography dancers Jennifer Sydor and Meredith Fages perform excerpts of Atomic Orbital.
Cellist Kirin McElwain premieres new compositions and performs classical works.
Lumberob performs his trademark wobbly art-ska vocal looping with a preview of his new album, Language Learner.
All attendees must be vaccinated and wear masks.
Opened in April 2021, Open Arts Studio is a new non-profit arts organization located in DUMBO, Brooklyn. We welcome all kinds of artists, dancers, musicians, and multidisciplinary performers for low cost rehearsal and showings. There are accessible classes and we are working to develop free and low cost programs for seniors and kids 9-12-ish. Open Arts Studio is the artistic home of founder Laura Peterson where she is developing new choreographic works and installation art.
