The Unplugging
THE UNPLUGGING is a post-apocalyptic play about two women who are removed from their community for no longer being useful because they are past childbearing age. The women are not meant to survive the harsh realities of the unplugging, but they do because they are brilliant aunties who have ancestral, knowledgeable, superpowers that they use to survive together, but one man threatens their relationship when he extracts wisdom from them to take back to the same community of survivors that kicked them out.

Performed outdoors at the intersection of East Lake Street and 27th Avenue South in Minneapolis at the former site of Migizi Communications and Gandhi Mahal Restaurant. This is New Native Theatre's first live performance since 2019.

A light lunch is provided with every ticket.

Audiences are limited to 30 participants and are encouraged to wear masks and social distance.
This show is not targeted for children; however, parents/guardians may bring youth at their discretion and supervision.
