Glass Fusion Healing Heart

Glass Fusion Healing Hearts Valentine Edition

In-house glass fusion artists Donna Smit teaches this introductory glass fusion class. The class was inspired by pieces Donna made while in quarantine last year using scraps of glass. Fusing together a mosaic design to create a heart, helping to heal her own heart in the process.

The hearts measure approximately 7 x 9. Each student will receive a short lecture and learn by using nippers to lay out a layer of clear glass on kiln paper. The second layer, students will nip and use pieces of colored glass, ranging in all the colors of the rainbow. Finally, students will use copper wire to create hooks that are all fused together. Once fired, students will take home and string wire and beads to create these stunning mosaic style healing hearts. All supplies are included. This is a perfect workshop for beginners and fun for experienced students. Class size is limited to 6 students. $70

COVID-19 Safety protocol: For the safety of teachers as well as students, we will be requiring anyone in the studio taking classes or shopping, to wear masks and keep their hands clean. Students can go outside to take breaks and get fresh air during class, but must be masked at all times inside the studio. If you anticipate this being too cumbersome please wait to register for a class at a later date when these restrictions are lifted. Classes will be limited to six students as we ease into reopening. Studio and common tools will be sanitized after each workshop.
