A Path for Life
A Path for Life is a six week introductory course in Mindfulness that meets on-line weekly for 90 minute sessions. Each class will include a short talk around a particular theme (ex: Mindfulness of Body, Mindfulness of Feelings, Mindfulness of Thoughts, Cultivating Kindness), guided meditation and practice, and shared reflection.
At the end of the course, participants will explore how teaching and sharing mindfulness practices can help build a more compassionate, wise, and just Memphis. Participants will then be invited to claim how they would like to see the course be applied in Playback Memphis future story.
Thursdays 6:30-8pm
Limited to 12 students
Sliding scale- $6- $120 for all six sessions
Virginia Murphy, Founder and Director of Playback Memphis is currently completing a two-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program through the Awareness Training Institute and the Greater Good Science Center at the University of California at Berkeley. The experience has been an extraordinary learning and healing journey that now she would like to share with you!
Upon registration you will receive a welcome email from Virginia with a deeper introduction to the course, recommended readings, and short list of interview questions to complete.
