Course Objectives:
Discuss how breakthroughs in the wood treatment process have led to environmentally friendly fungal and insect resistant wood components.
Explain best practices for newly fabricated windows and doors custom built to meet stringent historical requirements.
Describe how window technology and design creativity can preserve views.
Demonstrate a deeper understanding of how windows and doors can be modified to incorporate products from related industries and incorporate them in such a way as to enhance the overall performance of a building.
Pre-Requisite: Basic knowledge of windows, wood characteristics.
