Compassionate Listening Introductory Training
Spiritual teachers throughout the ages recognize that listening is one of the most precious gifts we can give to another human being. The practice of Compassionate Listening builds trust, connection, understanding, respectful dialogue, and sustainable solutions. It is ideal for those involved in conflict transformation and peace-building in a professional or personal context, and for those who are passionate about building bridges and healing relationships in our world.
This two-part workshop, led by Facilitator Cathy Merchant, will introduce and strengthen the practices of: -Cultivating compassion - towards ourselves and others -Developing the fair witness - honing our ability to go to the balcony during stressful interactions and combine cognitive awareness with the wisdom of the heart -Respecting the self and others -Listening and speaking from the heart...as well as the opportunity to put these into practice within a safe environment
Dates and Times: This two-part interactive workshop will take place virtually on Zoom over the course of two afternoons: Sat, August 22nd from 1-4pm and the following Sat, August 29th from 1-4pm.
Participants may sign up for either just the first day to get the initial experience or for both days in order to complete the full Compassionate Listening introductory workshop.
