The Feminine Comique: Virtual Stand-Up Workshop

Stay Sharp While Staying At Home With This All Female Stand-Up Comedy Writing Workshop

In light of the shelter in place ordinances across the country, the Lincoln Lodge Training Center is now offering a Fem Com comedy workshop series with Lincoln Lodge instructor Alex Kumin. Groups of 5 will gather for 75 minute sessions via Zoom where working comedians can build out premises or further develop bits in a small, online group setting.

Interested comedians can register via Brown Paper Ticket for an upcoming session, to be held over a Zoom video conference. Once signed up all attendees will receive a Zoom invite via email. You will receive this email no later than one day before your workshops is to start.

There is a $5 suggested donation attached to the workshop, which directly supports the instructors during this indefinite time of theater closure. IF YOU CANNOT PAY THE $5 DONATION AT THIS TIME PLEASE CONTACT US AT lincolnlodgetraining@gmail.com AND WE WILL WAVE THIS FEE.

What is Feminine Comique?
The world of stand-up comedy can be an isolating place for women and for this reason many women are deterred from stand-up early in their careers or before they have even begun.

The Lincoln Lodge has created The Feminine Comique a beginners foundation course that strives to give prospective female* performers the confidence and skills they need to begin a career in stand-up comedy.

The Feminine Comique gives students the opportunity to spend five weeks in a supportive all-female environment while learning the fundamentals necessary to write and perform stand-up comedy.

*Fem Com uses an inclusive definition of the word female, and we welcome trans women, genderqueer and non-binary individuals.
