Saturday, January 25th ushers in the Chinese New Year. Why not put yourself in the right mindset with a special matinee Profs and Pints talk on ancient Chinese philosophers, who left an enduring legacy still with us today?

Your guide to understanding these leading thinkers will be Justin Jacobs, who also has left Profs and Pints audiences spellbound with his talks on the Silk Road, the real Indiana Jones, and the history of Tibetan Buddhism.

Hell introduce some of the most important thinkers from ancient Chinaincluding Confucius, Mozi, Mencius, Xunzi, Zhuangzi, and Han Feiziand hell discuss how they tried to change the world they lived in. Hell examine what they had to say about the meaning of life, the role of the state, the importance of civilization, relationships among people, and how to gain and maintain power.
