Righteous Function 2nd Annual Fundraiser for Food 4 Kids at District Wine 12/19/19
Righteous Function presents an evening of wine, hors d'oeuvres and holiday feels at the beautiful District Wine from 6pm to 9pm on Thursday, December 19th. Join us in supporting a staple Long Beach institution during a time when they need your support the most. Proceeds from this event will go to support Food4Kids and FoodFinders. $30 ticket includes appetizers and your first glass of wine or beer, as well as a donation to the charity.
How can a child start their school week productively when they are hungry? Today, 72% of Long Beach Unified School District students and their families live below the poverty level. While subsidized meal programs at school help during the week, many of these school children start school on Monday with hunger overshadowing any focus on learning.
Food4Kids fills the hunger gap over the weekend. During the school year, Food Finders volunteers deliver non-perishable food weekly to 15 Title 1 designated schools in Long Beach enough for more than 2,600 meals. The food supports some of the neediest children and their families, and is purchased or made possible through generous donations.
We can't wait to see all our friends at this event to support the amazing work that Food4Kids does in our community. Dress snazzy and come thirsty!
