Northwind Arts Center welcomes singer-songwriter Kathryn Claire for an evening of Winter Songs, Friday, December 13 at 7:00pm. This event is sponsored by Peninsula Hearing and Strait Floors. Media sponsor is KPTZ radio.

Kathryn Claire kathrynclairemusic.com/weaves together stories and melodies rooted in her classical and traditional musical background while infusing each song and composition with an energy and electricity that is palpable. Honest and poetic writing, crystalline vocals and an ability to move seamlessly across genres, are the hallmark of Kathryn Claire's original and diverse sound. She has toured and performed extensively in the US, Japan, The Netherlands, India, Belgium and France.

Kathryn has created a show of winter songs, inspired by the season with music to honor the shortest days and longest nights. Weaving together traditional and original music, Kathryn Claire invites the audience to join in celebration of the season.

Kathryn is accompanied by Don Henson on piano and percussion. Henson has toured extensively with Kathryn. His band, Sneakin Out, has played with Pink Martini, on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and had the honor of playing Carnegie Hall.

A new feature of the Northwind Songs series is access to food and drink during concert intermissions from Tommyknockers, right next door.
