2020 Herd of Turtles 5k PARTNERS

The HOPE program at Break the Barriers works with people (Like Austin, Larry, Melissa, Jessica...) recovering from Spinal Cord Injuries, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Strokes, Multiple Sclerosis, and other neurological conditions.

On September 26th, 2020, this team of people will participate in the 5th annual Herd of Turtles 5k to raise funds towards their recovery. In preparation, they have committed to train all summer for their various distances, with each HOPE member pushing their own recovery boundaries. Some will run or roll the full 5k, some will use core muscles to sit erect in their power chairs, some will use a walker to finish distances they've been told they can't do. Each of them is working hard to become more mobile.
