Free Form Basket Making with non-native plants
A workshop dedicated to learning to make a simple free form basket from vines that are not native to our area who, often take over native plant populations, as well as decrease biodiversity.
Come to this workshop, hopefully walk away with a basket, and learn one step of healing the land at the same time. Also learn about native populations of plants that can be used for the same purpose.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Baltimore Free Farm/ Horizontal Housing for use of their space. Money will be allocated by the collective according to where it is needed the most.
Workshop is Sliding scale $15-$20 There are 12 total spots. I intend to provide several spots to people who need to save $$ for other necessities or who are able to do work-trade because I believe that this knowledge is priceless, passed down through generations, and not everyone has means to pay because the capitalist system is built that way. The Free Farm has often tried to provide these options to people in the past and this workshop is no exception. Please contact me directly if you are not able to pay. Still I have have done labor to make sure this workshop happens and would appreciate those who can use money to value instruction and labor to contribute. No judgement from me.
Work-trade please contact me first to register and I will give you the password for that ticket bracket. mikedme84@gmail.com
