Bryan Garner/ Frater Ashen Chassan: Lecture Topic: Implements of Evocation and Scrying of the Ceremonial Magician Description: The magical implements mentioned in ancient texts and refined by western ceremonial occultists for spiritual contact are numerous. However, within the various manuscripts of western classical magic are found key components used in nearly all operations of spirit evocation. Indeed the methods and tools described find similarity across several hundred years as well as crossing religious, linguistic and cultural variants. In this lecture I will be going over some of the most used and practiced forms of magical evocation and explain their creation, consecration and use in magical operations such as evocation.
Biography: Frater Ashen Chassan is a practicing occultist and grimoiric traditionalist who has been involved in classical forms of Western Ceremonial Magic for over eighteen years. His passions center on closely reproducing experiments from the Solomonic magical texts and judging their effectiveness through experience. His aim is to recreate experiments from magical texts as closely as posible before altering any content. Frater Chassan is involved in a multitude of esoteric arts and methods to better understand spiritual phenomena which has occurred in his life since a young age. Frater Ashen is the Author of Gateways Through Stone and Circle, Gateways Through Light and Shadow and Co-author of Liber Spirituum, Ritual Offerings, and The Holy Guardian Angel. He creates magical talismans and implements for clients on a regular basis and also conducts lectures and workshops on Magicla topics through the year. His first book, Gateways Through Stone and Circle details his reproduction of Trithemius of Spanheims The Art of Drawing Spirits into Crystals to great success. His books are a boon to traditional ceremonial magicians, providing a detailed account of Frater Ashens work, including the spectacular holy table and an archangelic evocation. Jeremiah Bray Waever Lecture Topic: Embodied Theology The Universe in a Grain of Sand Description: In this lecture Fr. Bray will discuss emanationistic theology as well as the nature of the vast energies of the universe and specifics of how they move though our bodies, minds, and emotions. We will discuss the cycles and manifestations and how we use these energies to create our lives, our, health, our future, and our past. The goal of this lecture is to show Divinity as well as how Divinity creates and animates each of us, determines our health, and moves us every closer to wholeness. Biography: Fr. Bray holds ordainments in Native American Shamanism, Druidry, Wicca, Buddhism, Daoism, and is currently the Priest and Rector at St. Mary Magdalenes Parish of the Johannite Gnostic Church. Bro. Bray is also an initiate in multiple lodges and both studies and teaches on a wide variety of esoteric topics. A life-long student of the body mind connection and with deep studies in sports medicine and nursing as well as psychoneuroimmunology, hypnotherapy, Oriental medicine, herbology, homeopathy, and holding a practice as well as teaching for 26 years. Bray has had the opportunity to work with challenging clients in the most austere of conditions, looking at the holistic person thorough the lenses of multiple cultures and disciplines to develop different strategies for health and wellbeing at all levels of the individual. Jerome Loran Lecture Topic: Finding the Virtues in Space
Description: Presenting the connections of physical existence, their values and virtues to the principles and attributes of the divine. Applying Platos most powerful statement that all particulars are suspended from universals, Jerome will share a lecture that indicates the Virtues are valuable tools to direct ones consciousness toward realizing the omnipresence of the Divine.
Meditation Topic: A guided meditation on healing the relationship of Humans to their earth and to each other.
Biography: Jerome is a student of metaphysics for over forty years. The writers of influence include Manly Hall, Max Heindel, Plato, Iamblichus and Richard Tarnas. As with many independent thinkers, Jerome has modulated metaphysical theories of Being, seeking to understand the process how the phenomenal reflects Cause. He published his first book, The Prayers of St. Androgyne in 2015 and will soon publish a book of Peace meditations, titled Massive Synchronous Meditations. Work is being completed on a third book, on integrating the Virtues, expected in early 2020. His work is characterized by an effort to relate philosophy without referencing specific religious terms or the use of anthropomorphic gender identities. He lives with his wife in a log cabin on two acres of forested land near Mt. Rainier Natl Park. Jory Barnes Lecture Topic: Taoist Internal Alchemy Path of Cultivation
Lecture Description: This lecture will be an introduction to the inner alchemical path found in the Taoist tradition. we will touch on basic concepts and principles such as the Three Treasures and the Microcosmic Orbit as well as doing a small Qi Gong set to lead participants into experience.
Biography: Jory Barnes is a wanderer of the Ways, explorer of the subtle realms and Maker of Magick. His path has taken him all over the world searching for deeper mystery and greater understanding. Tai Chi and Qi Gong has been a part of his journey for the past two decades, as well as the Western Esoteric Traditions, Druidry And Shaivism for a good part of it. He is committed to helping bring magick back to the world and sharing that which uplifts us all.
Kathleen Ostlie (Kathleen Monroe) Lecture Topic: The Converging Point and Its Implications
Description: When looking at the infinity symbol you see that there is no opposite, neither is the polarity a straight line spectrum. But two almost complete circles within themselves that meet at a converging point making it an eternal whole. This point where two seemingly opposite things meet is where the purest Truth lies. Now the sides within themselves are part of the whole truth but lacking, the converging point is where both exist in tandem. Kathleen will explore this idea under its variety of names and correspondences. Explaining the holding two thoughts simultaneously, as well as looking at what appear as opposites and where they come together and how truth can be derived from this focus.
Biography: Kathleen Ostlie is a student of the Ancient Wisdom and enjoys learning, writing, and speaking on a variety of esoteric topics. She mainly deals in the western esoteric tradition. A core belief that influences her work is bringing people with different views together for civil conversation and learning experiences. A dedication to the search and application of truth has been at her center since childhood. She is a published poet and essay writer and looking to publish her own book of poetry and philosophy within the next year.
Timothy Hogan Lecture Topic: The Elements of the Elements
Description: Timothy will be examining Gnostic, Alchemical, Qabalistic, Vedic, Egyptian, Greek, Nuatl, and Biblical ideas about the classical elements and show how they are utilized in myth, ritual, chemistry, and in personal psychological development. Ideas from several secret initiatic Orders will also be illustrated, including from various Rosicrucian, Masonic, Sufi, and Templar thought concerning these classical elements. An examination of their practical use in different ways will be presented.
Biography: Timothy W. Hogan has been a student and Past Master within several different esoteric organizations over the last 20 years. He has studied and served as a leader within various branches of Freemasonry, Rosicrucianism, Martinism, and Templarism, as well as other Orders of both Eastern and Western lineage. He is a former editor and writer for the periodicals LInitiation, Ariadnes Web, and Living Stones Magazine. Timothy Hogan currently serves as the world wide Grand Master of the Order of the Temple of Secret Initiates (O.T.S.I) , (a Knight Templar lineage). He has been knighted in France into the Order of the Paraclete and the Dove, and knighted in Scotland into the Order of Saint Andrews, and into the Royal Order of Scotland. He has also been knighted as a Gold Star Sir Knight of the Knights of the Glen. Timothy Hogan serves as an expert in cross cultural symbolism, and he regularly works as a consultant in the entertainment industry, and helping in Track II Diplomacy worldwide. Tim Hogan has written the following books: The Alchemical Keys to Masonic Ritual (also published in a Spanish translation edition). The Elements of the Elements Timothy Hogan also translated and wrote the preface for Raymond Bernards: A Secret Meeting In Rome (also published by Brazen Serpent in 2011).
