Somatic . Active Dynamic Therapeutic
Body learning from a whole person perspective Discover support for efficient bio-mechanical function and dynamic expression in movement. No Experience Necessary. Through Bartenieff Fundamentals and Laban Movement principles we will develop body integration, awareness, adaptability, efficiency, and balanced support. Using guided somatic experiences, integrative movement exercises, and improvisation, the class will explore the basic developmental patterns that underpin efficient, fluid movement. Laban/Bartenieff work enriches one's personal movement practice and is informative and beneficial for educational, athletic, creative, and therapeutic applications. (Must be at least 18 years of age).
