Peter Dizozza, the composer from Queens has an Italian surname that, at its most forgiving, suggests rising from the muck. His Bastille Day shows explore freedom and imprisonment, while encouraging a pursuit of Romantic Enlightenment. His sound is "Sondheim meets Burroughs" (Time Out London) with humor at once whimsical and
politically charged (The New Yorker). He has released three studio albums: "Pro-Choice on Mental Health" (2001); Songs of "The Golf Wars"(2003, vinyl 2017); "The Ocean Floaters" (2016) as well as an album featuring artists performing his score for "Prepare to Meet Your Maker."
