The ART Dinner at Liberty Station with Chef Flor Franco

Start your summer off with delicious foods and wines immersed in the incredible art and beautiful dance performances. Congé!(The Ceremonious Bow) is the unique and Avant Garde Dinner Experience. Dine with "Both Sides of The Border" Chef Flor Franco as she creates her delicious Gastro Art for the appetizer and dessert courses. Chef Flor is present at every major food event in the region. She is the First Mexican female chef to be inducted as a Disciple of Escoffier in 2018. Chef Flor adheres strictly to sourcing only sustainable and raw ingredients, using foods grown from wholesome soil tended to with care. Her vast knowledge of international cuisine will take your palate on a multi-level journey of mouth-watering discovery.
Chef Flor will be creating the delicious hors d'oeuvres that become a part of the Seed of Life Installation conceived by Fine Artist Colleen Veltz. She will be joined by award winning Solare Lounge Executive Chef Filippo Picinni as he creates the savory, family-style entree course of Congé. Chef Filippo was born and raised in Italy - in Saturnia, a small seaside village in Tuscany which is home to one of the most well-known food and wine regions in the world. Filippo successfully graduated from culinary school in Florence, Italy, and then immediately began working for some of the best restaurants all over Italy.
Flamenco and Classical Guitarist James Clarkson will serenade our guests as they enjoy The Wonder of Life main course. Dinner guests will be treated to a very special performance by Jean Isaacs San Diego Dance Theater as they perform their World Premier new Choreography in the beauty of the Rose Garden before dinner service. Chef Flor & Executive Pastry Chef Lori Sauer will then lead our guests in an exclusive interactive dessert experience at MK Envision Galleries. Revealing to dinner guests how they interpreted 8 emotions into flavorful desserts! Guests will be treated to an Electric Performance by Electric Violinist Marta Z to end this extraordinary Summer Night!
