Ayurvedic Cooking: Spring and Summer
As the seasons change, changing our diet allows the body to adapt and physiology to balance in relationship with Nature. In this workshop, we will be focusing on cooking foods that are balancing Kapha dosha that causes allergies and congestion in the spring, and balancing the Pitta and Vata dosha, that can become aggravated in summer season.
In this workshop we will discuss:
1) Common Seasonal aggravation
2) Balancing qualities of food and spices
3) 6 tastes and dosha balancing
4) Homemade Ghee and khichadi preparation
5) Cooking Demonstration
6) Ayurvedic Feast to top off the class
Join Dr. Anup for this Sunday afternoon of learning and sharing... 1) First 1 hour of the class will be dedicated to discussion of concepts and theory.
2) 2.5 hours for cooking demonstration
3) 30mins for the freshly cooked Ayurvedic feast.
