FLA TRAINING: SUPPLY CHAIN MAPPING
Regulators, civil society organizations and consumers are more consistently demanding full traceability of the supply chain of products and their components. Legislative and regulatory frameworks to require supply chain transparency are already in place, continually being proposed, and increasingly looking beyond tier one.
The FLA is offering a training on Supply Chain Mapping on Thursday, June 20, 2019 following our Board Meeting. The training is geared for FLA affiliates in the beginning or intermediate steps of their supply chain mapping journey. The training will define supply chain mapping, explain its importance, and reveal the motivations for companies to map beyond tier one. It will also cover guidance steps for mapping and address common challenges and strategies for how to manage those challenges. This in-person training is an opportunity to have an interactive experience, engage in exercises to begin building your own companys individual roadmap, and share practices amongst peers.
Objectives: ~ Increase understanding of supply chain mapping and traceability beyond tier one ~ Identify the steps to conduct supply chain mapping and collect information ~ Learn about resources to manage internal and external traceability challenges
Outcomes: ~ Build a roadmap & formulate an action plan to start supply chain mapping for key locations and products ~ Determine how upstream business operations connect to social compliance risks ~ Increase supplier network visibility to develop relationships and rules of engagement at various tier levels ~ Mitigate upstream risk through preventative measures and remediation efforts
Time: 9am - 3pm EST (registration opens at 8:45am)
Capacity: 20 participants
