What we can tell you: The venue lives between North Beacon Hill and Mt. Baker. Street parking is available. Beverages (alcoholic and otherwise) are available. CASH ONLY/CASH IS QUEEN. Please bring paper money to tip the bar, purchase work from the writers, and stock up on Surreal merch.

SEATING: There's a limited* amount of comfortable seating in a den setting, in addition to standing room. Please arrive early to guarantee a spot. *We will accommodate folks who are unable to stand for long periods.

Doors open at 7 PM. Readings begin at 7:30 PM.

All sales are final.

MEET THE STRANGE FOLX.

Amelia Lea was born in a swamp but prefers the forest. They are a visual artist who enjoys the layers and textures that come with the territory of trying to exist. Prefers canine company to humans. Above all else, they are a tender maker.  You can find their work at ameliafawnart.etsy.com.

Lin is a 25 year old enby poet from Almost Canada, Western Washington. They have been finding comfort in creating stories since they were young. Their first introduction to horror films was at age 4 with the movie It on the inside of a trailer that their family lived in. This opened up a new world of bizarre and celestial thought patterns. They stopped writing at age 16 when a teacher told them that he didnt see a career in writing for Lins future. Lin is glad they started writing again.

Sari Krosinsky is a queer autistic writer. Zir books include Courting Hunger, A Gods Life: a story in poems and god-chaser. Ze received an M.A. in creative writing from the University of New Mexico. Ze lives with zir partner, poet Robert Arthur Reeves, in Bremerton, WA. They share a poetry site at outerchildpoetry.com.

Sonya Vatomsky is a Russian-American writer based in the PNW. Their reported features appear in The New York Times, Rolling Stone, and Smithsonian Magazine; a poetry collection, Salt Is For Curing, is available from Sator Press. Find them by saying their name five times in front of a bathroom mirror or at sonyavatomsky.com and @coolniceghost.
