JoyRise Dance & Cacao Ceremony | Harrisburg, PA
Uncover the ecstasy inside of your soul with a break-out-of-your-box guided dance experience & cacao ceremony.
Open your heart, embody your truth, activate your voice, connect to yourself and your commUNITY at a JoyRise Ecstatic Dance.
The night starts off in an opening circle (this time, with cacao!) to connect to ourselves & each other followed by light, guided stretching & embodiment. We then move into freeform movement and end with a short meditative experience & sharing circle.
Rebekah Joy & Kevin Koa bring healing, intentional ecstatic dance experiences to yoga studios and festivals all over the United States.
We welcome.. All ages. All shapes. All sizes. All genders. All cultures. All races. All body abilities.
(Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult.)

Space is limited to 25 and your monetary commitment reserves your spot. ð
TO FULLY EXPERIENCE CACAO:
*Fasting before a ceremonial dose is not necessary and is not recommended as an empty system may accelerate assimilation and bring on bitter-related nausea. Normal or light eating a few hours beforehand is fine.
*Please bring extra water than you normally drink.
*Please consume a half portion (or less) if: currently taking antidepressants or psychotics, you have a heart condition, are extremely sensitive, are fasting or on a raw diet
Our ceremonial cacao is:
Sourced from farming cooperatives located in the cloud forest region of the Peruvian Andes Mountains.
Organically grown at an elevation of 6,000 feet, where the air is fresh and the soil is rich
Sourced from heirloom varieties native to the region, known for superior flavor, aromatics, and contribution to local biodiversity
Ethically harvested using traditional hand-picking methods and sun drying process.
Supporting indigenous communities by working directly with small family farms & ensuring a living wage for everyone involved in Cacao's cultivation, which as a rich cultural history in Peru
Ecstatic Dance Guidelines
1. Move however you wish.
This is a transformational space for healing, prayer and freeform movement.
2. No talking in the dance area.
You may chat quietly away from the dance area. :)
3. Respect yourself and one another.
Listen for a "yes." Get eye contact first before dancing with another.
Listen for a "no." Hands in prayer at heart is a loving way to say, "I see you. Thank you. I wish to dance alone."
4. Take in the experience through your eyes.
In order to create a safe space for expression, please make sure you have permission before you capture photo/ video.
Ecstatic Dance is a Drug & Alcohol Free Space.
