Wojciech Grudziski (PL) Artist Statement
My artistic practice often concentrates on a relationship between miscellaneous components containing topics related to: autobiographically-charged reflections, ideologies, social behaviours and the moving body. My activity is a platform where I can speak candidly about self affirmation, work and live. My method of work is based on the idea of a transmedia storytelling, where modernity of movement is a crucial aspect of a research. I consider human body capability as a catalyst of a past and future visions converted by kinetic power. Not one to limit my own artistic expression, I continue practicing with a patchwork aesthetic that straddles the line between unconventional movement research and existing dance and choreography methods.
Currently I am developing my new project which is based on the idea of POPULUXE. The first phase of the project took place during the residence in the Art Stations Foundation in Pozna. Derived from the combination of LUXURY and POPULAR, Populuxe quickly took over industrial design, impacted fashion, architecture and found its way to everymans household. In my project, it refer to the concept of  POPULUXE developing synthetic choreographic genre based on the idea of a luxury movement.
