Titts For Totts main objective is to benefit local families who are experiencing difficulty in making magic this year. Specifically we believe that hard working families spending their year working long hours while raising children in their care should not spend their holiday season wishing they could have cut corners to provide more for their children. We are dedicated to an idea that these soldiers are the foundation that lends the future community their leaders of tomorrow. Our event is meant to give these deserving parents a well deserved extra bag of magic in return for being the unseen heroes of everyday.
Titts For Totts is unique in the mannor in which we deliver our raised donation. To ensure the absence of a third partys presence in a chosen families holiday season, our producers discreetly deliver toys and gifts directly into the hands of parents and caregivers prior to the families festivities. We leave no trace of our involvement. Because of this, Titts for Totts is free to host events in support of our cause geared for the mature adult audience in addition to giving the magic to those who deserve to deliver it.
Hosted by The Magick City Sirens, alongside Creativity Out Of Context and their performers, this event means to create a night of fun filled, riveting entertainment hosted in the honor of your local families in need. Your communities aid in supporting and contributing toys and monetary donation benefits local deserving families as well as local performers.
Who benefits from our door donation , raffle and toy donation?
All door proceeds go to paying equally the participating performers of the local event. The demand for work is high during the holiday season while the availability of well paying gigs falls shorter and shorter each year. Our goal is to give everyone involved equal tidings as a result of a community unified. Each performer is paid to entertain therefore aiding hard working entertainers and their families while they support anothers.
The toy drive supports a chosen family(ies) and their children. We select a local family and give mention of the ages and toy wishes of their children. Each event is held SPECIFICALLY for these children. Not a drop box to be divided and given randomly. The boxes for each family are combined in an undisclosed plain container to be given to the parents along with wrappings to ensure no extra cost comes from the family in accepting this gift. The parents then are left to giving as they wish.
The raffles are held to obtain a few extra dollars to purchase a grocery gift card as an extra gift from the community to the family. In exchange patrons of the event can win gifts and prizes from local sponsors.
Why we do it, The back story:
Jezabelle spent a large portion of her childhood and adolescence in severe poverty. Many holidays, were spent in envy while she observed the holiday extravagance experienced by her peers.
A grandmother provided all that she could for Jez and her multiple siblings. One Christmas, unbeknownst to the children, her beloved grandmother, "Nona", spent a significant amount of her marginal monthly income to present a multitude of gifts. Bought from the local dollar store, Nona purchased what she could to satisfy the Holiday wishes made by the children . The morning of Christmas Nona woke up early and set the scene for what was to be a Christmas miracle. The kids awoke to a knock on their door, the neighbors we causing a commotion demanding everyone wake up and come outside. Jez and her siblings ran out to see what the fuss was about. Nona watched as charitable marines dressed in military uniforms and santa hats handed out toys to each neighborhood child. Expensive and lavish toys, more than each child could carry were given from giant smiling military charity givers. The kids of the neighborhood were in awe and so excited to receive these gift were her children, they played and roared with their toys from the Marines, so much so that the toys Nona bought were glanced over and left under the tree in favor of the more expensive lot they received. Though grateful, Nonas heart was broken. Nona's small Christmas Miracle to her most loved had been swept away by the allure of bigger, louder, more expensive donated toys given by strangers. Nona's disappointment, gratitude, and pain of such an experience was realized by Jez when she became a mother herself. Nona shared the events of this day. Jezabelle had no memory of it at all. It was in those moments of hearing the tale she came to know the sting of the position many proud parents face when being eternally grateful and shamefully inadequate are felt together.
This realization and the need to replace that memory with eternal happiness is where Titts For Totts was created. So grateful is she all for the charity of others and the immense measures executed by groups such as Toys for Tots benefiting countless families in need, , Jezabelle feels a calling of her own. To give back to caregivers like her Nona. Aided by an insight and respect that only one who has accepted and benefited from charities can understand, Jez has a mission every year to return Nonas miracle by giving one caregiver the benefit of charity without the sacrifice of playing the hero. That mission has lead to 14 states and counting benefiting hard working families across the nation for 7 years and counting. Her goal is to hold this event in all fifty states by 2018.
The Tits for Tots Burlesque Event and Charity are Jezabelle's means to make sure that other, less fortunate families, and "Nonas", have the utmost opportunity to be the hero responsible for the smile on their children's faces during the holiday season
