ARTE's 5th Anniversary Fundraiser: Reimagining Justice
Join Art and Resistance Through Education (ARTE) for an evening of art, drinks, dancing, and engaging discussion to celebrate our work, our students and community, and our upcoming projects! This has been a year of growth and opportunity for ARTE, and we seek to position ourselves as a rallying force and leader of a creative movement against human rights injustices.
Our students are always encouraged to use their art to imagine new possibilities in the world, and so our theme this year is Reimagining Justice. The funds we raise will support ARTE's radical programming that centers youth voices, gathers community to advocate change, and creates resources for use in the cultural movements towards equity and justice.
-----
On the evening of Friday, December 14 from 7-10pm, we will be celebrating at the Annex in Williamsburg. Your ticket includes: drinks and food from Woke Foods, an exhibition of local artists, interactive arts activities and advocacy opportunities, and DJ tunes from DJ Sabine Blaizin! We will also be honoring the work of artist and activist, Liza Jessie Peterson, who will perform a reading. There will also be an exclusive premiere and giveaway of ARTE's upcoming collaboration with Thought Matter!
If you're not able to be there in person, please consider donating to our annual fund via the ticket options above. Tickets and donations may be tax deductible, so please contact marissa@artejustice.org if you would like a form or have any further questions.
This event is proudly sponsored by Cumbe: Center for African and Diaspora Dance and Constance Kane, ARTE Advisory Board Member and Executive Director of the Women Changemakers in Education Awards.
