Current 8th & 9th grade Maine girls What is the cost for the weekend conference? The total cost of the weekend conference is $300. There is a $50 discount until March 15th. This cost includes overnight accommodations, all meals, transportation from Portland, a t-shirt, and a leadership starter kit. Is there financial aid? Yes, we believe that all girls regardless of income or background deserve a quality education and career success. Yes. part of our programming is including an immersion into college life, the girls will stay in on-campus dormitories and eat in the campus dining hall. What will the safety and supervision be like? Girls will be divided into small groups of 10 or less and assigned a counselor for the weekend. Girls will remain with their counselor or another staff member at all times. Counselors will stay in the dorm building with attendees overnight and a security officer will be on patrol. After 10pm, campus gates are closed so that cars cannot drive onto the campus without permission from security. Is there transportation to the conference? We will be providing transportation from Portland, ME to and from the conference. Location in Portland TBD. What can/can't I bring to the event? We will provide you with a comprehensive list closer to the event. What time is arrival/pick up? For pick up at the campus girls should arrive between 4:30pm - 6pm on Friday.
