KEYNOTE SPEAKER: JOSEPHINE LEE
Josephine graduated from the University of Southern California in 2010 with a degree in Communication. She was a sports anchor for a student produced nightly newscast called Annenberg TV News. After graduation, she joined Toastmasters International to continue her education in communication.
In 2016, she rose above 35,000 contestants to win 3rd place in the World Championship of Public Speaking. This etched her in history as the first Korean American woman to place in the final stage. Since then, she has given International keynotes and had the honor of being the first lady champion to be invited to speak in District 20 Middle East.
On the business side, she opened a dance retail store called Dancer's Choice Dance Supply in Irvine, CA in 2011. After recognizing a need for more accessible and knowledgeable pointe shoe fittings, she started a traveling pointe shoe fitting company called The Pointe Shop in January of 2014. The Pointe Shop offers professional fittings inside ballet studios as well as individual fittings at the flagship store in Santa Ana, CA. Convenience and expertise helped The Pointe Shop rise to become one of the top pointe shoe retailers in the country.
The Pointe Shop has been featured in numerous publications and most recently, a spot on a nationally syndicated television show on LifeTime called "Project Runway: Fashion Start Up." On this reality show, she received investment offers from Katia Beauchamp, the Co-Founder & CEO Birchbox; Founder and CEO of Gwynnie Bee, Christine Hunsicker; fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff; and Hillman Corporation CEO, Gary Wassner becoming the only entrepreneur in the season with offers from every investor.

Josephine attributes her success as a Toastmaster in part to her years training in ballet. She believes this art form continues to permeate throughout her life, manifesting itself in different ways. Lee says, "whatever you do in life, do your best. Even if it doesnt take you down the path you thought it should, it may open a door that may be even better." #ilovemyjob
Our very own Kent Peterson & Randy Powell will take us on a journey during their presentation, "Pathway 2 Your Future."
Finishing out the afternoon, our keynote speaker Josephine Lee will be hosting a Social Media Workshop. You will definitely want to attend "Using Social Media to Market Myself", to gain some useful information and skills on how to navigate the online world.
There will be Question & Answer opportunities with all of our Speakers throughout the day.
