The Halloween Journey

You are invited on a mysterious journey in the heart of the Catskill Mountains.You are welcomed with a bonfire and live folk music. Next, embark on an unforgettable adventure as you are led into the forest by candle-light to encounter legendary characters of Catskill history and folklore. Rip van Winkle, Sojourner Truth, Catskill poet John Burroughs, fairies, animal spirits and other fanciful creatures come to life, sharing their respect for nature, inspiring wonderment and appreciation for the treasured Catskill regionand offering a secret treasure or treat to add to each childs goodie bag. The Halloween Journey brings together young and old, creating an evening of enchantment for all a truly unforgettable celebration not to be missed!

Food and beverages will be available for sale. Hot apple cider, homemade chili, seasonal treats, baked goods and more! Vegetarian and gluten free menu options included.

Halloween Journey trick-or-treat bags and t-shirts are also available for sale.

FAQs

Can I choose the start time of my Journey?
There are tour groups entering every 15 minutes beginning at 5:15pm. Tours are first come, first served. To skip the line, you may buy a Wizard pass or schedule a private tour with a VIP pass. The last group goes in at 8:30pm. Each journey lasts about 40 minutes. The bonfire, live music and goodies will keep you warm while you wait!

How does the check-in process work the day of the event?
Come directly to the Registration table. We highly recommend bringing your printed ticket. You will receive an entry pass unique to your specific Journey. When your group is called, you will be guided to the entrance for your Journey. An "Angel" will collect your pass when is time to go in.We highly recommend lining up a few minutes before the start time of your journey.

What time will the doors open?
Doors will open at 5pm.

How do I know if my registration has been successfully received and processed?
You will receive an e-mail confirmation with your tickets. If you don't get an e-mail confirmation, check your spam folder or contact us right away.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
We highly recommend it as it will expedite your check-in process.

Will there be tickets available for purchase at the door?
Tickets at the door may be available on a limited basis. At the door prices are $20 for children 12 and under and $30 for adults. This event sells out every year.

What should I bring?
Please wear warm clothing and appropriate outdoor footwear. High heels and flip flop footwear are not permitted. Halloween Journey trick-or-treat bags will be available for sale, or children can bring their own.

What is your refund policy?
All tickets are non-refundable and cannot be changed or cancelled for any reason. No refunds will be given, in full or in part, for any circumstance beyond the control of The Halloween Journey. For VIP Deluxe ticket cancellations, your 1 night lodging may be rescheduled.

WEATHER - We are an outdoor event. In the unlikely event that the weather forces The Halloween Journey to reschedule to the Raindate, all existing reservations can be used on either Raindate evening. All patrons acknowledge and accept that reservations/tickets must be rescheduled... there are no refunds.

All scheduled tour times for VIP are approximate We will make every effort to ensure tours run as scheduled but some delays are possible.

High heels and flip flop footwear are not permitted. Please wear warm clothing and appropriate outdoor footwear.

All patrons acknowledge that they have read, understood and accepted our terms, policies, and disclaimers. We reserve the right to amend such as the need arises, and without prior notice. Placement of order(s) for ticket(s) indicates your acceptance of all Halloween Journey conditions.

All patrons voluntarily assume all risks and dangers associated with each and every activity at The Halloween Journey and agrees to release the operator(s), affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and landlord from any liability, harm, injury or death, cost or expense whatsoever that may arise directly or indirectly from attending this event.

This is an outdoor event which is held in the dark by candlelight. Appropriate attire and proper footwear is required - no high heels or flip flops are permitted. You will experience the outdoors and hike on a moderate forest trail where there may be fog, damp and/or wet conditions. You may encounter uneven walking surfaces in a physically demanding environment. While every effort is made to ensure your safety, you should not participate if you have health issues that may be prohibitive. The Halloween Journey reserves the right to refuse entry to any patron at any time, for any safety-reasons or misconduct. Your admission ticket is a revocable license and can be taken with admission refused. No alcohol is allowed on the premises.
