Deck The Walls: Jubilee Arts Fundraiser!

Deck the Walls is an art sale featuring art by local professional artists, Jubilee Arts participants and area art students. The event engages 100 attendees and proceeds from Deck the Walls will provide scholarships for aspiring young artists participating in Jubilee Arts programs and projects.

Proceeds from Deck The Walls will provide scholarships for aspiring young artist to further enhance their creative skills by participating in Jubilee Arts dynamic arts programs and projects. Our goal is to raise scholarships that will provide 40 students the opportunity to participate in one full year of arts classes valued at $105 per scholarship. We welcome you to join us on our mission to provide a positive and uplifting environment for our youth living in the Sandtown-Winchester, Upton, and surrounding neighborhoods. ABOUT INTERSECTION OF CHANGE:
Intersection of Change, formerly Newborn Holistic Ministries, is a community based non-profit located in the Sandtown-Winchester area of Baltimore City and is dedicated to providing programs that enrich the economic, social and spiritual lives of those dealing with poverty related issues. The organization, celebrating its 21th Anniversary this year, has completed significant neighborhood revitalization of the 1900 and 2000 blocks of Pennsylvania Avenue through the full renovation of six previously vacant and dilapidated buildings, the transformation of eighteen vacant lots into community green spaces and meditative gardens and the creation of a dozen neighborhood murals. Core programs created and supported by Intersection of Change include Marthas Place, a recovery program for women overcoming drug addiction and homelessness and Jubilee Arts, a series of classes for adults and children aimed at bringing communities together through artistic expression and Strength To Love Two, an urban farm providing job training for returning citizens.
