Kazami Ranki at TRAUMA

Internationally renowned rope bondage artist Kazami Ranki will be coming to Columbus, Ohio, to perform at TRAUMA this Halloween! TRAUMA is a three-day Halloween fetish party featuring live music, DJs, performances ranging from circus to dance to fetish, dungeons where you can play and learn, and more.

In addition to performing all three nights, Kazami-san will be offering intensive workshops and private lessons. There are two full-day intensives scheduled. While it is not required to take both intensives, the material will be progressive from one day to the next, and there is a substantial discount for enrolling in both days.

Each intensive requires a partner and is priced per tying pair (top and bottom), and each full-day intensive registration will include a free pair of tickets to one night of Trauma (a value of up to $50 per ticket), where you can see Kazami-san perform live and enjoy the numerous other performances and attractions of the evening.

Workshop Schedule
Level I: Gote Shibari and Hip Harness
Friday, October 27
This workshop is recommended for all levels if you have not yet learned Kazami-style chest and hip harnesses. Kazami believes that bondage "starts with gote shibari and ends with gote shibari". The hip harness can be used for side suspension, hip suspension, gyaku-ebi suspension, and upside down suspension. If there is extra time, additional ties will be covered.
Prequisites: Non-collapsing single-column tie and knowledge of basic frictions, hitches, and cinches.
Price: $150/tying pair

Level II: Intro to Suspension
Saturday, October 28
This intensive will cover Kazami's unique yoko-tsuri (side suspension), which uses the rope from the back to stabilize, and the gyaku-ebi (reverse shrimp) position using three points from the back of the body. Additional suspensions will be taught if time allows.
Prerequisites: Ability to tie a TK and hip harness that are safe for suspension (these can be learned in the Level I intensive). Some experience with full suspension, for both tops and bottoms, is recommended.
Price: $200/tying pair
