The conference runs over three days and will include presentations and discussions from leading activists and thinkers, along with workshops and discussion groups.
Confirmed presenters include:
HELENA NORBERG-HODGE - A pioneer of the new economy movement and recipient of both the Alternative Nobel prize and the Goi Peace Prize. Producer of the award-winning documentary 'The Economics of Happiness' and author of the inspirational classic 'Ancient Futures'. Founder and director of Local Futures and The International Alliance for Localisation. Founding member of the International Commission on the Future of Food and Agriculture, the International Forum on Globalization and the Global Ecovillage Network.
RICHARD HEINBERG - Senior fellow at the Post Carbon Institute. Author of 13 books, many dealing with peak oil and how it will affect the economy. He is currently teaching an online course on community resilience.
DAVID KORTEN - Co-founder of YES! Magazine; President of the Living Economies Forum. His books include 'When Corporations Rule the World' and 'Agenda for a New Economy'.
MICHAEL ABLEMAN - Organic farmer, author, urban and local food systems advocate. His books include 'From the Good Earth', 'On Good Land', 'Fields of Plenty' and 'Street Farm'.
JUDY WICKS - Author, activist and entrepreneur. A pioneer in the local food movement and a national leader in the New Economy movement. Co-founder of the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies - BALLE.
JOHN DE GRAAF - Author, filmmaker and Executive Director of Take Back Your Time. He is co-founder of The Happiness Initiative and served as an advisor to the government of Bhutan as it developed its Gross National Happiness project proposal for the UN.
SARAH VAN GELDER - Sarah van Gelder is YES! Magazine Co-Founder and Editor at Large, and the author of , 'The Revolution Where You Live'. She is also the editor of Sustainable Happiness: Living Simply, Live Well, Make a Difference.
KATE RAWORTH - (via skype from the UK) Kate Raworth is a renegade economist focused on exploring the economic mindset needed to address the 21st centurys social and ecological challenges, and is the creator of the Doughnut of social and planetary boundaries.
BRANDY GALLAGHER - Founder of OUR Ecovillage, a 25 acre demonstration site deeply committed to the principles of Permaculture design, both in terms of land systems and how people interact - social permaculture.
JOHN LUPINACCI - Assistant Professor, Cultural Studies and Thought in Education. His research focuses on how people, specifically educators, learn to identify and examine destructive habits of modern human culture.
RACHEL MAXWELL - Co-founder of Community Sourced Capital a community-based crowd sourced lending platform that helps people share their money with businesses they know and love.
LARKIN STENTZ - Steward of Green Angel Gardens organic farm and sustainable living center, Long Beach, WA, for the last 11 years. Teaches bio-intensive food production, and a board member of Washington Tilth Producers.
LAURENCE COLE - has the extraordinary gift of bringing people together in group song.Part of his mission is to re-acquaint people with their birthright and natural ability to make beautiful and meaningful sound together.

All tickets cover entry to all plenary sessions and workshops for the whole weekend.
The most convenient way to enjoy the conference is to stay on site and book a meal plan. All accommodations and conference venues are within easy walking distance, and meals will be served in the centrally located Commons Servery. Fort Worden has put together a special meal plan for conference attendees based on their "Farm to Fort to Fork" program, which sources much of its food from local farms. The six-meal plan includes snacks and drinks on Friday evening; breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday; breakfast and lunch on Sunday, all for only $65 + tax. GETTING THERE
Port Townsend is on the Quimper Peninsula, on the north east corner of the Olympic Peninsula. Driving times are approximately 2 hours from either Seattle, Olympia or Bellingham, and about 4 hours from Vancouver, BC or Portland, OR. There is ample FREE PARKING on site at Fort Worden.
