 Albany artist Maria Zemantauski has acheived international stature as a Flamenco guitarist. Her passionate, engaging performances have filled the Caffe numerous times. Tonight she is stretching out with a new project: a global music ensemble that includes cellist Monica Wilson-Roach, guitarist Jose Miralles, and percussionist Brian Melick. Maria's Spanish and Flamenco-influenced originals are interspersed with pieces by the late Paco de Lucio and Strunz & Farah.

Called "elegantly understated" by reviewers, the group's repertoire and musical chemistry is genuinely fun, and the intensely complex arrangements will have you on the edge of your seat!
