A very special evening with two artists whose stories intersect at Caffe Lena. Hammond's first show on our stage was in 1963, at the start of a career in acoustic blues that has been marked by one GRAMMY win and five GRAMMY nominations, eight Blues Music Awards, and induction into the national Blues Hall of Fame.

G. Love exploded onto the airwaves in the mid-'90s with his blues-infused, old-school pop music. Just months earlier he was playing Caffe Lena's open mic and citing Hammond as one of his inspirations.

Tonight we bring the generations together to celebrate Caffe Lena's 54 years of launching musicians onto the national stage.
