Boston-based, Schenectady-born trio Jo Henley is a crowd-pleasing ensemble, as evidenced by their winning (by a mile!) the Audience Choice Award at a Caffe Lena street music festival. Formed by longtime musical collaborators Andy Campolieto and Ben Lee, Jo Henley's latest work echoes Robbie Robertson and the Band, and all who followed in their footsteps. The range is beautiful, with universal themes of life, death, relationships and time, set to a soundtrack of jangly midtempo rock, train-beat folk, '60s Nashville country, and heel-thumpin' bluegrass.
