WELCOME TO THE WORK  A Fort Heart Productions Scene Study Showcase

Step inside the rehearsal room on November 29th.

Our Advanced Scene Study Performance Troupe has spent the fall digging into text, taking risks, breaking rules, and discovering what happens when craft and courage collide. This isn't a polished facade - its the raw, electric middle. It's moment where a scene clicks. It's the moment where actors surprise even themselves. It's the moment where the work becomes the raw, authentic exchange between scene partners.

Join us for an intimate evening of bold storytelling, laughter, vulnerability, and the kind of magic that only happens when a room is alive and the audience is close enough to feel the heartbeat of the scene.

Welcome to the Work.
Witness the process.

Meet Our Troupe

Jansen Blacquier (he/him)
Jansen is a 21-year-old Marine Biologist/Actor hailing from Miramichi, New Brunswick. Having been in many shows with CM Production (Lend Me a Tenor, Leading Ladies, The Shark is Broken) and the Saint John Theatre Company (Miracle on 34th Street, Script Happens: Paul Frown Really Goes for It) he brings an enthusiastic and passionate energy in his performances that captivate audiences and cast members alike. The work he has done with the Fort Heart Troupe he feels has proudly broadened his horizons, and he is ecstatic to be acting on stage with such a professional, tight knit community.

James Crilley (he/him)
James has been doing different workshops and studies with Fort Heart Productions for the last year and a half, usually between time on stage in various shows with other local theatre companies. This showcase is the first time he has the privilege to perform with Fort Heart. When he came back to theatre two and a half years ago, he didnt imagine becoming so involved again, but has come to realize just how much he has missed it all. So, with a thankfulness to those who support him, everyone involved, and local theatre, he wishes you all a beautiful night of entertainment.

Hannah Crothers (she/her)
Hannah is a Saint John-based actor and playwright who is thrilled to be participating in this showcase. She has spent the last year immersed in intensive performance study with Fort Heart, culminating in the Advanced Scene Study Showcase. Recent stage work includes productions of Macbeth and Saint Joan. As a playwright, Hannah is passionate about creating new work that challenges and resonates with contemporary audiences. Hannah has also recently been selected for the New Artist Development Program through the Jane Leblanc Legacy Fund.

Simon Hatfield (he/him)
Simon is stepping onto the stage! Born with a love for performing in any capacity, he is eager to be a part of Fort Heart and its production. This is his first performance since high school, and he's absolutely thrilled to be working with such a talented and passionate troupe. Outside of the arts, Simon works as an educational assistant  a job that is very rewarding but not quite as fun as playing pretend onstage. Simon thanks you for coming out, and he hopes you enjoy the show!

Rowan Hickie (she/her)
Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Rowan now proudly calls Saint John home. She trained at the University of Alberta, studying acting, directing, and clown before stepping into the legal and nonprofit world. Favourite credits include Goodnight Desdemona, Good Morning Juliet (director), Welcome to Thebes, The Love of the Nightingale, The Unorthodox Coordinates of Razz the StarChild, and Mad Forrest. Rowan is delighted to be back onstage and hopes everyone enjoys the show.

Aaron LeBlanc (he/him)
Aaron is an actor, improvisor and playwright from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. As an improv performer and teacher, Aaron has learned to harness the power of his short attention span. His staged plays (Memories in the Park, Driftwood Treehouse) offer a fantastical look at the importance of family. Now proud to call Saint John home, Aaron made his theatrical debut here at the Script Happens Festival (Paul Frown Really Goes for it). He is very excited to be in the Scene Showcase with the Fort Heart family!

Brandon Montyr (he/him)
Brandon is a 21-year-old actor from Saint John, New Brunswick. He has spent the past few months training weekly with Fort Heart Productions to improve his acting ability and is thrilled to participate in his very first showcase.

Haydn Rileigh (she/they)
Born and raised in Saint John, NB, Haydn discovered her love for acting at a young age, actively participating in high school productions and earning recognition for her dedication to dramatic performance. Currently, she is preparing to take the next step in her career, traveling to Toronto to meet with agents and further develop her craft in the industry.

Steph Savage (they/them)
Steph is a versatile performer with a passion for theatre, music, and comedy. Known for their dynamic stage presence, they have captivated audiences in productions like Goblin Market, WW2 Christmas Radio, Fort Heart's Scene Study Showcase (April 2025), and Je parle français and I love in English. Steph has a knack for blending emotional depth with sharp comedic timing and their love for musical theater has shone on stages from Ontario to New Brunswick. Offstage, they combine their talents into a unique routine, weaving music and humour into unforgettable performances. With a true love for the stage, Steph brings authenticity and joy to every project.

Dan Theriault (he/him)
Dan has been performing on stage and screen since childhood. His theatre credits include productions with Saint John Theatre Company, Flood Productions, and The Improvisation Corporation. Recently, he has expanded his work into television, film, and commercial acting. In addition to performing, Dan hosts a monthly stand-up comedy show in Saint John, providing a platform for local comedians. Since May 2024, he has been training with Fort Heart Productions and is thrilled to bring his passion and energy to this showcase. He extends his gratitude to Mariel for her dedication and support.
