Enjoy a night of "Beer Battered Twang & Roll" fronted by affable, effervescent Howard Glassman, proprietor of Valentine's in Albany, host of the radio show "The Fabulous Sounds" on The Exit, 97.7 WEXT, and long-time presence in the Capital District music scene.
     Grainbelt's original music has the pure energy of punk, the joy of rock and roll, and the emotional depth of Americana. For the listening room environs of Caffe Lena they'll be taking an acoustic approach to their songs with two guitars, bass, drums and pedal steel.
    Fans of the Coal Palace Kings will recognize the line-up of Glassman and guitar slinger Jason Hughes, who are joined by long time bassist Chris Blackwell, with drummer to the stars (as well as Plastic Jesus, Horror Business, Hot Cousin etc. etc.) Jimmy The Kid Kaufman, and Roger Noyes on pedal steel.
