Celebrate the glory and mystery of love someplace else this Valentine's Day, because our Feb. 14 program features Byron Nilsson and Amy Prothro singing songs reminding us that love isn't always hearts and flowers. From the theater ballads of Rodgers & Hart and Stephen Sondheim to cabaret songs by Noël Coward and Flanders & Swann  with at least one stop along the way by Tom Lehrer  the program is a funny, fast-paced tribute to the art of the not-quite love song.

Amy and Byron are veterans of the musical theater stage who share an interest in the craft of clever lyrics; musical director Malcolm Kogut straddles the worlds of classical, jazz, and show tunes, which keeps his keyboard work lively and surprising.
