Nora Jane Struthers and the Party Line are making serious waves on the national bluegrass circuit. With 2013 summer appearances at Grey Fox, Telluride and Bristol Rhythm & Roots festivals under their belts, roots music fans coast to coast are getting excited by this band's fresh approach. Nora's latest work is a collection of ballads tracing the lives of women from the antebellum South to the mid-1900s set to a sound influenced equally by traditional predecessors and the percussive modern sounds of Mumford & Sons and the Avett Brothers. Leading her band as a songwriter, storyteller and stellar vocalist, Nora Jane is backed by PJ George (bass, steel guitar, accordion, banjo, vocals), Joe Overton (clawhammer banjo, vocals), Aaron Jonah Lewis (fiddle, three-finger banjo, baritone fiddle, mandolin), and Drew Lawhorn (drums).
