Join the Capital Regions's premier gypsy swing ensemble, the Hot Club of Saratoga for an evening of swinging gypsy jazz music. This event is opened to listeners and players alike. After a set lead by the Hot Club, the group will lead a campfire-like gypsy jazz jam.
Tonight's concert will feature their current Artist-in-Residence Brad Brose. From Hollywood, California, Brad Brose performed with some of the best swing musicians that the U.S. has to offer. After playing in swing dance clubs and festivals throughout California, Brad decided to move to Paris to directly learn Europe's greatest contribution to jazz: Jazz manouche. In Paris, he plays his gypsy jazz guitar along with the best and most well-known jazz manouche artists in all of the legendary gypsy jazz clubs such as taverne de cluny, les petits joueurs, and many others. His goal is to bring together Europe's greatest swing musicians with America's best to form an international collective and bridge the two continents together!
